Harry Edward Styles - also known as Harry Styles - is a British musician as well as a composer. Harry Styles has been credited as composing songs for The One Direction band. Parents are Des Styles and Anne Cox. The couple were born on the 1st day of February, 1994, in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school. There together with three students, he founded his own group of musicians, called White Eskimo. After winning the Battle of Bands 2009 thanks to their outstanding performance, they also participated in the Battle of Bands 2010. He always had an interest in music, but also wanted to work as an attorney, physiotherapist or even a scout. As a worker in the city's pastry shop Harry Styles could afford to provide for his family. Harry Styles auditioned for The X Factor in 2010 and performed Is not She Lovely, an iconic Stevie Wonder song. He was selected. It was for this reason that the group split. After the audition in The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles join the group that was to be named One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to create the group in the year 2010. The band performed songs such as My Life Would Suffer Without You from Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. They were one of the contenders for the prize. They were however in third place behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles did not receive an award, but Cowell offered a 2-million-pound deal for One Direction in order for the group to join Syco Records.
